The number of women opting for breast reductions has jumped 25% in recent years—to 106,000 in the latest annual count by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Experts say women who could benefit from a reduction often complain of:
- Pain in the shoulders, back, and neck
- Rashes on the undersides of the breasts
Difficulty running, jogging, or playing high-impact sports, or golfing because breasts get in the way - Asymmetry, where one breast may be as much as two cup sizes larger than the other
